OVR Solo 2024 Points Event 7 & Governor's Cup

Fortress Obetz

About this event

This Saturday event will be for the Annual Governors Cup. The Governor's Cup is a single elimination tournament. The morning event will be Points Event 3. We will run 3 runs in the morning for up to 128 participants. Winners for each class are determined at this point and then each class winner is invited to participate in a run off called the Governor's Cup. After class winners, we take best results based on PAX index until we have a field of 64 drivers. These 64 drivers then all do an additional run, from there the top 32 folks advance to the next round, also getting to do an additional run. When there are 16 drivers a random draw will occur, and a bracket is created with those 16 drivers, at this point, all 16 drivers run off their pairings until we have an overall winner!  This is an awesome event to participate in and to watch also! It is a very unique event, and you never know when a cone might jump into the way of a great driver letting an unexpected driver advance! Join us for the fun, but don't forget to register early.

All registration is pre-registration. There will be no walk-up registration.

Come join us at Fortress in Obetz. The site has great pavement that performs well even in the rain. It is a full facility site (restroom access, good viewing spots, grassy areas and a fenced in lot) that offers great course designs and a safe operating environment. It is also reasonably close to local restaurants and sometimes offers food trucks for the events.

Safety is a high priority at our events and we require that all participants adhere to all safety rules and regulations. See our registration requirements for all necessary safety statements.

Car classing is done according to SCCA PAX/RTP guidelines. If you are unsure of your car class please email ovrsoloreg@gmail.com for assistance. Here is a guide that may help you select your car class as well: SCCA Car Classifier

All regulations can be found here: 2024 OVR SCCA Solo Supplemental Regulations
